Please plan to attend
at the Historic Long family Homestead
Please plan to join us for the first ever Heirs of George Long & Margaret Logan reunion at the historic Long family homestead farm that is still in the family, in Hillsborough, North Carolina, just outside the town of Chapel Hill. The farm was first deeded to the Long family in 1759. The property has been in the family continuously for over 250 years.
Betty Ray and Linda are descendants of George Long and Margaret Logan.
We need your help to spread the word about this rare and special Long family gathering. We need to identify and track down different Branches of family to give them advanced notice of our reunion. So please do share this invitation to other descendants, but please cc: Suzanne Long O’Rourke so I can document all these new additions.
The Agenda is not firmed up but most likely would include:
· Possibly, if we can arrange an inside look at the little Log Cabin that used to be on the property
There is plenty to do in the area with many of the landmarks having significant ties to our family. We also need help with volunteers to act as Family Line team leaders. These team leaders would help with the documentation of their family line from George Long and Margaret Logan and to notify the kin in that line.
This gathering, due to size constraints is limited to direct descendants and their families only please.
